1,092,359. Crowding device for shovelling machines. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. Aug. 31, 1964, No. 35502/64. Heading E1F. A crowding device on the bucket of a scoop arm machine comprises a reaction plate having ground engaging L-shaped members and being pivotally mounted on the ground side of the bucket by means of two pairs of levers, one from both pairs being pivotally attached to each lateral side of the bucket and to the reactor plate. Hydraulic rams are connected to one pair of the levers and to a boom carrying the bucket so that actuation of the ram causes the bucket to swing forwardly and upwardly relative to the reaction plate.
