Abstract

1,092,037. Dynamo lamps. BRAUN A.G. April 27, 1965 [April 29, 1964], No. 17605/65. Heading F4R. A dynamo pocket flashlamp comprises a casing 1 in which an operating lever 7 having a handle 8 is mounted to drive the dynamo by reciprocating movement into and out of the casing, the lever being biased outwards, and a stop member 16 for limiting the inward movement of the lever 7, the member 16 being displaceable to permit the lever 7 to be pressed further inwards into a position in which it can be locked with the handle engaging the casing. The stop member is biased into operative position by a spring 17 and has an opening 19 into which the lever may pass when the member 16 is depressed, return of the member locking the lever in its inward position. The lever is formed with a toothed rack 9 which drives a train of gears 10, 11, 12 carrying a member 13 having a pair of pawls 14 which engage internal toothing 15 on the dynamo rotor 5.
