Abstract

1,088,385. Gusset bags. BIBBY & BARON (HOLDINGS) Ltd. April 13, 1966 [May 7, 1965], No. 19282/65. Heading B8K. A blank, Fig. 1 (not shown), for forming a gusset bag, is provided on one edge with opposed double steps 11, 13, and 15, 17, forming a twostage flap, which, after folding the blank into a tube with an overlapping glued seam, is folded about a line adjacent the line 10, 18, and secured by adhesive. The gussets are thus also adhered and are less susceptible to being sprung. The adhesive may be applied to the flap by a single broad roller, or by a number of narrow rollers. The blank may be cut from a roll by a shaped knife.
