Abstract

Novel compounds of formula <FORM:1088327/C2/1> wherein X represents a hydrogen atom, a straight or branched chain alkyl group containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a phenyl group which may be substituted with one or more alkyl or alkoxy groups containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxycarbonyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a cyano group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, an alkoxysulphonyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms in the alkoxy portion, a dialkylamino group in which the two alkyl groups each contain 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or an acylamino group; R11 represents a straight or branched chain alkyl group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms or alkylamino or dialkylamino groups in which each alkyl group contains 1 to 5 carbon atoms or acylamino groups, a phenyl group which may be substituted with one or more alkyl or alkoxy groups containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halogen atoms, substituted amino groups, nitro groups, cyano groups or alkoxycarbonyl groups containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms, or an aralkyl group which may be substituted in the benzene ring with one or more alkyl or alkoxy groups containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halogen atoms, substituted amino groups, nitro groups, cyano groups or alkoxycarbonyl groups containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms; R1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n is 1 or 2, are prepared by reacting a compound of formula <FORM:1088327/C2/2> wherein R is a hydrogen atom or R11, with a lower alkyl sulphate.
