Abstract

1,087,108. Endless conveyers. K. STEINER. Sept. 7, 1966 [Sept. 9, 1965], No. 40003/66. Heading B8A. Each end of an endless belt conveyer comprises a fork member 10, 11, 11, carrying a respective belt engaging roller 2. The forks are urged apart by pre-stressed springs 15 on each side of the conveyer associated with respective telescopic members 13, 14. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown), there may be two springs 15 on each side. The members 13 may be replaced by other members of different length in order to provide for alternative belt lengths. The forks have sockets 10a to receive corresponding projections carried by a belt support member 5. A drive motor 18 acts through a gear 17 on to a gear 16 carried between roller sections 2c of the drive roller 2. The length of the roller may be increased by the addition of intermediate rings (not shown).
