Abstract

1,086,543. Electronic organs. WURLITZER CO. May 11, 1966 [May 12, 1965], No. 20842/66. Heading G5J. An electronic organ is provided with a bank of manually actuable stops which can be reset simultaneously. As shown, a line of plastics stops 26 are mounted on a shaft 48. Each stop can be rocked in an anticlockwise direction from the position shown to a position in which detents 72 integral with the stop, are located on the other side of projections 84 on a pawl spring 76. Actuators 86 rigidly mounted on each stop are pivoted from the position shown in which electrical contacts 120 engage a fixed contact wire 126 to a position in which the contacts engage a fixed contact wire 128. The contacts constitute switch contacts for a printed circuit board 114, the instrument being of the electrophonic type. A shaft 148 extends alongside the actuators 86 and carries plastics cams 130 keyed to the shaft at 150 and held by C-springs 158 in a manner which permits them to be slid along the shaft so that they can be selectively positioned opposite cam surfaces 100 on the actuators. Operation of a push-button causes the shaft 130 to rotate in a clockwise direction to move the cams 148 to the position indicated in broken lines engaging the selected cams with corresponding cam surfaces 100 and thus resetting the selected stops. Axially displaced cams 342 and 346 are similarly mounted on a shaft 296 mounted on the other side of the actuators. The shaft can be rotated clockwise to anticlockwise by operation of a corresponding push-button and in each case according to the positions of the cams 342 and 346 selected ones of the stops 26 are simultaneously set.
