1,085,103. Electrostatic printing. INTERCHEMICAL CORPORATION. April 13, 1966 [July 6, 1965], No. 16191/66. Heading B6C. In an electrostatic screen printing machine in which ink particles from a trough 16 are brushed through a stencil 10 into an electrostatic field existing between the stencil and a back plate 12 such that material 15 placed between the stencil and the back plate is imprinted with the required design, a gravure roller 17 is placed between the trough and the brush roller 21 the engraved portions of the roller 17 being arranged only in those areas directly associated with the apertures 11 in the screen. This tends to prevent the accumulation of particles in the non-printing areas of the screen.
