Abstract
1,084,002. Transistor amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. June 3, 1966, No. 24784/66. Heading H3T. In order to compensate for non-linear distortion in an amplifier, one of the stages VT1 is provided with a non-linear negative feedback network comprising capacitors C2, C3 semiconductor diodes D1, D2 and resistor R7. The diodes are effectively in antiparallel across negative feedback resistor R4 and their optimum bias point may be adjusted by varying the relative values of R5, R6. Two similar feedback networks may be employed in a pushpull amplifier, Fig. 3 (not shown).
