Abstract

1,083,044. Animal feeding apparatus. J. R. HJALMARSSON. May 28, 1965 [June 1, 1964], No. 22870/65. Heading A1M. Animal feeding apparatus comprises a fodder container (12) within which is a downwardly sloping slide plate 8 the edge 21 of which defines together with a pivoted control plate 4 a gap 23 through which fodder falls into trough 11 when the control plate 4 is moved by an animal. The width of gap 23 is adjusted by rotating the pivotal shaft 3 of plate 4 by means of lever 1, the plate 4 also carrying a further plate 6 which is adjustable relative to plate 4 and edge 21 by means of screws 13. An agitating device 5 is secured to plate 6. Vertical plates 9 extending into the trough define a number of feeding stations.
