1,082,390. Solid electrolytic capacitors. SIEMENS A.G. Dec. 21, 1964 [Dec. 20, 1963], No. 51763/64. Heading H1M. A process for the manufacture of a solid electrolytic capacitor includes coating a tantalum anode with a dielectric layer of tantalum pentoxide by anodizing, and depositing a layer of manganese dioxide on the pentoxide layer by pyrolysis of manganese nitrate, wherein after the first anodizing step and before the manganese dioxide deposition step, the anode is tempered at a temperature higher than the temperature used for the pyrolysis of the manganese nitrate and is re-anodized at the original anodizing voltage.
