Abstract

The invention comprises the derivatives obtainable by alkylation of 3-alkyl-4-arylazo-2-isoxazoline-5-ones and of their tautomers and their use in fungicidal compositions (see Division A5). Specified products are of formulae <FORM:1080864/C4-C5/1> <FORM:1080864/C4-C5/2> <FORM:1080864/C4-C5/3> wherein R is a C1- 4 alkyl radical, R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl radical and R2 is alkyl introduced by alkylation. The derivatives may also be prepared by condensing an arylazoacylacetic ester with an N-alkyl-hydroxylamine.ALSO:The invention comprises the derivatives obtainable by alkylation of 3-alkyl-4-arylazo-2-isoxazoline-5-ones and of their tautomers and their use in fungicidal compositions (see Division A5). Specified products are of formulae <FORM:1080864/C2/1> <FORM:1080864/C2/2> <FORM:1080864/C2/3> wherein R is a C1- 4 alkyl radical, R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl radical and R2 is alky introduced by alkylation. The derivatives may also be prepared by condensing an arylazoacyacetic ester with an N-alkylhydroxylamine.ALSO:Fungicidal compositions comprise the derivatives obtainable by alkylation of 3-alkyl-4-arylazo-2-isoxazoline-5-ones and of their tautomers (see Divisions C2, C4-5). Specified products are of formulae (I) <FORM:1080864/A5-A6/1> (II) <FORM:1080864/A5-A6/2> AND (III) <FORM:1080864/A5-A6/3> wherein R is a C1-4 alkyl radical, R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl radical and R2 is alkyl introduced by alkylation. The derivatives may also be prepared by condensing an arylazoacylacetic ester with an N-alkyl-hydroxylamine. The fungicidal compositions may be in the form of powders using kaolin, fullers earth, gypsum, chalk, Hewitt's earth, and china clay as diluents. The compositions may also be in the form of emulsifiable or dispersible concentrates containing surfactants such as, polyethylenoxy compounds, calcium, ammonium or sodium alkaryl sulphonates or lignosulphonates and glue or solvents e.g. benzene, methanol, ethanol and acetone.
