Abstract

1,079,879. Collapsible tubes. FLEXILE METAL CO. Ltd. July 6, 1966 [July 8, 1965], No. 29017/65. Heading B8D. A collapsible metal tube having an integral nozzle (3), Fig 1, -is fitted with a synthetic plastics covering (7) for the nozzle (3), the covering comprising an inner tubular member (10), -extentling 'irito "lihs 'tube ibelow the lower end of the nozzle to form a trap, and an outer tubular member (11) surrounding the outer-wall of the nozzle and screw-threaded to receive a cap. The nozzle (3) has axial serrations (5) above an annular groove (4) which engages a corresponding rib (12) on the member (7) to prevent it from moving. The rib may be formed on the nozzle and engage a groove in the member (7), Fig. 2, which ray 'have an integral elongated nozzle. The inner tubular member (10) may be tapered at its lower end. The tube may be impact-extruded.
