Abstract

1,013,366. Collapsible tubes. PEERLESS TUBE CO. Jan. 2, 1964, No. 247/64. Heading B8D. A metal collapsible tube has a neck C to which is applied a plastics sleeve D, moulded from polyethylene, a groove 13 on the sleeve engaging over frusto-conical surfaces 2, 4 on the neck which has grooves 7 interfitting with longitudinal ribs on the sleeve. The sleeve is held on the neck after its groove 13 snaps into engagement with the surfaces 2, 4. A flange 15 on the sleeve engages the tube shoulder.
