Abstract

107,965. Blanchereau, R. N. June 29, 1916, [Convention date] Spray carburettors. -The area of the passage around the fuel nozzle is varied by a suction-actuated tubular member H which carries an independently adjustable valve L. The valve is adjusted to obtain a particular proportion of fuel to air, which proportion is then maintained constant throughout the whole range of suction. The member H is coned at its lower end to fit a conical cap G on the nozzle C and thus prevents the passage of gases in the event of a back-fire. The lift of the member is regulated by an adjustable screwed sleeve K, slots in the lower end of which receive the upper bridge-portion of the member. The valve L is adjusted by a milled cap P, slotted sleeve Q, and projections R
