Abstract

1,076,689. Amplitude modulation. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 13, 1965 [Dec. 16, 1964], No. 52803/65. Heading H3R. A push-pull modulator comprises two pairs of transistors of the same conductivity type, the carrier oscillation p being supplied in pushpull via transformer 5 between the bases of the transistors of each pair and the signal oscillation q being supplied via transformer 6 in push-pull between the emitters of one pair and those of the other pair, the bases and emitters being connected to the supply source Vb through comparatively high resistances 7-11. The output at terminals 15 is a suppressed carrier signal.
