Abstract
1,076,474. Electromagnetic relays. DUCELLIER & CIE. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 29, 1963], No- 30717/64. Heading H2B. The range of operating voltage is adjusted by altering the flexibility of biasing a blade spring 5 carried by armature 4 and the operating voltage within the selected range is altered by varying the tension of the spring. Adjustment of stop 18 carried by a spring 16 alters the tension of spring 5 and adjustment of screw 17 alters the effective length and hence flexibility of blade 5. In an alternative embodiment a member deformable lengthwise and perpendicular to the blade provides the two adjustments. Alternatively a rotary cam with three segments lying in different planes to bear on blade 5 at different points provides the necessary adjustments. In another arrangement the blade spring 5 is of triangular section and is adjustable on the armature to engage a rotary cam with different parts of its width. As a modification the range may be varied by using interchangeable rotary cams which engage blade 5 at different parts of its length.
