Abstract
1,205,924. Electromagnetic relays. A. REYROLLE & CO. Ltd. 17 Oct., 1967 [18 Oct., 1966], No. 46517/66. Heading H1N. An attracted armature relay has its L-shaped armature pivoted on a knife edge on the inside of the yoke which extends parallel to the relay core across the end of which one limb of the armature extends. As shown the armature 18 rocks on a knife edge 21 of the yoke limb 14 and the limb 20 of the armature extends along and through the yoke limb 14 to actuate the contacts 24. The armature is retained and biased by a U-shaped wire spring 25 having its ends riveted at 26 to yoke ends. The blight 27 of the spring 25 engages in a slot 33 in a free swivel head 32 of a screw 28 threaded into the armature and adjustable by a slot 30. Locating flat springs 35 are riveted at 36 each side of the armature and have close fitting holes through which limbs 46 of the spring 25 pass freely. The armature location may be adjusted by means of screws 38 which engage the underside of the flat springs 35.
