[Also in Division B3] A circuit for the pulse generator in a spark erosion machine includes a source 5, additional to the main power source 1, for providing a firing voltage, a diode 8 in series with the switch passing the normal discharge current but blocking a current in the opposite direction. When the voltage across a resistor 11 exceeds a value U, current can flow through a transistor 12, a high-speed relay 14 responding by cutting off a supplementary supply 15 to a pulse generator 10. The voltage U applied to the collector of transistor 12 is adjustable by a resistor 13. A resistor may be used in place of relay 14.
