Rowing-apparatus.-A single-loom o a r is mounted in a clip fitted with means for guiding it so that the blade moves in and out of the water when the handle is pulled or pushed by a person who is unable to use his hands or arms in the correct manner for rowing. The three-part clip a carries a depending spindle g adapted to rotate in a block i supported in bearings j, j<1>, one j of which is detachable. The spindle g is attached to a bracket o having at one end a member p adapted to bear on a curved guide r and at the other end a spigot q, which bears on the top of the spring plate t when the bar is making the effective stroke, and under it on the return stroke. The base-plate r which carries the bearings j, j' is secured to the gunwale by a clip l.
