Abstract
Novel compounds of the general formula <FORM:1073485/C2/1> (wherein X represents a halogen atom, a C1- 5 alkyl or alkoxy group, Ph, NO2, NH2, a mono-or di-(C1- 5 alkyl) amino group or an acylamino group, n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, the X substituents being the same or different when n is 2 or 3, and Y represents an unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 2-5 carbon atoms or a group -(CH2)m-OR, where m is an integer from 1 to 5 and R is a C1- 5 alkyl or a benzyl group) are prepared by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:1073485/C2/2> (wherein M represents H or an alkali metal) with a compound YZ (wherein Z represents a halogen or a reactive ester group). Acid addition salts of the products are also described. Pharmaceutical preparations having analgesic and anti-inflammatory action contain the compounds of the invention as active constituents.
