Abstract

107,310. Douglass, A. E. Sept. 21, 1916. Moulding fuel blocks; moulding by hand.-Consists of a handmould for home use to make briquettes of slack, broken coal, cinders or coke, mixed with water and tar, Portland cement, or other binder. The mould is a slightly tapering upright rereceptacle a with loose bottom m upon which the mixture is pressed by a ram n. A stand with a central aperture may be provided upon which the receptacle is bolted, the bottom then being a slide which is withdrawn after compression to let the block drop through into the space between the legs of the stand.
