Abstract
1,072,717. Voltage variable resistors. TELE FONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. April 1, 1965 [April 1, 1964], No. 13946/65. Heading H1K; [Also in Division H2] A resistor used in a fluorescent lamp circuit has an inverse voltage/resistance characteristic and comprises a semi-conductor element which comprises 87À4% tellurium, 9.7% germanium and 2.9%[ silicon by weight. The element may be composed of a mass of such a composition between two metal electrodes. Other examples of the materials which may be used are set out in Specification 1,070,411. The voltage/current characteristic of the resistor element when A.C. is applied thereacross is shown in the Figure.
