Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1071593/C2/1> wherein (a) X=OH, Y=NH2 or NHMe; (b) X=NHAc, Y=OEt; and (c) X=NHAc, Y=NH2 or NHMe. R is H, Me or OMe, R1 is alkyl, aryl or 2- or 4-pyridyl and R11 is H or Me. The starting material of the above formula has X=OH, Y=OEt; this is reacted with aq. NH3 or MeNH2 to give (a), or with MeCN+H2SO4 to give (b), while (c) is made by reacting (b) with aq. NH3 or MeNH2. In exemplified compounds, R and R11=H and (1) R1=4-pyridyl, X=OH, Y=NHMe; (2) R1=Ph, X=NHAc, Y=OEt or NHMe; (3) R1=Me, X=NHAc, Y=OEt; (4) R1=Et, X=NHAc, Y=OEt or NHMe. Starting materials of formula <FORM:1071593/C2/2> X1 being Me, Et or 4-pyridyl, are prepared by reacting PhCOX1 with BrCH2CO2Et and activated
