Abstract

1,070,164. Stacking-machines. MASKINAKTIEBOLAGET TERMIT. June 25, 1964 [June 26, 1963], No. 26240/64. Heading B8C. [Also in Division F4] Shaped cement slabs 28 from the discharge bench 44 of a shaping machine (not shown) are cured on trucks 26 having rollers 24 by passage through a curing chamber 12 on any one of a number of superposed pairs of rails 22, to which the slabs are fed separately at a predetermined rate by an elevator device 32 having an hydraulic piston 33 in the chamber from an extension 43 of the bench 44 where the slabs are transferred from supporting plates 46 to the trucks 26. An elevator 34 at the discharge end of the chamber is synchronized with the first elevator to receive a truck from the same rail as it is fed by the piston 33 and to feed it to a discharge bench comprising rails 90 and a return wheeled carriage 50 driven by an endless wire beneath the chamber returns the empty truck to the loading station. One or both elevators may be positioned outside the chamber and the trucks enter and leave through closable apertures in the wall. An hydraulically operated pair of tongs 100 are mounted on a traverse 101 at the discharge end of the chamber to stack the slabs and transfer the stacks on to a board (not shown) at one side of the chamber from which they are transferred by an hydraulically operated ram to a conveyer 106. A forked elevator 48 positions the trucks 26 returned by the carriage 50 ready to collect a predetermined number of slabs from their supporting plates 46 on the bench 43.
