Abstract

1,070,018. Sliding roofs. WEATHERSHIELDS Ltd. Oct. 5, 1964 [Oct. 16, 1963], No. 40770/03. Heading B7B. A wind deflector 10 fitted to the forward edge of a sliding roof opening is made of flexible material and is hinged by two outer ball joint hinges and a central leaf type hinge having a sliding connection with the deflector 10. When installed the axis 23 of the hinge is offset from the pivoting axis of the outer hinges so that when the hand nut 18 is tightened the deflector is clamped in its adjusted position.
