A roof panel movable from its position flush with the roof to a rear position beneath the roof is pivotally mounted at its forward end on guide shoes so that the rear end of the panel may be raised above the flush position to assist ventilation. The pivoting and sliding movements of the panel are effected by completely separate controls.
