Abstract

A binary alloy comprises .Nb.66.6 - 96% .Re.4 - 33.4% The alloy may be prepared by arc casting of compacted powder mixtures or cold pressing followed by sintering. The arc cast member may be treated by extrusion or rolling and the resultant body may be vacuum annealed at 1600 DEG C.
