Abstract
1,068,908. Lubricating. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 10, 1964 [June 20, 1963], No. 24596/63. Heading F2A. In a lubricating device a compressor shaft (2) has a vertical extension fitted in the upper end of an oil-pick up pipe (1), rotation of the shaft and pipe causing oil to flow up the inside of the pipe walls and through a channel in the extension and shaft. The pipe is sealed against the rotor (10) preferably by a sealing ring and contains a hollow rivet (9) to allow escape of gas separating from the oil. The channel (3) is helical.
