Abstract
Paraffinic naphtha is reformed in the presence of a previously reduced mixed platinum-palladium on alumina catalyst containing 0.1-1.5% of metal of which 25-60% wt. is platinum at 875-990 DEG F., 0.1-10 w./w./hr. and 200-600 p.s.i.g. with 3-55 mols of hydrogen per mol of hydrocarbon, the charge stock containing less than 100 p.p.m. of water and 25 p.p.m. of sulphur and the effluent containing less than 100 p.p.m. of water. The naphtha may contain 40-80% of paraffins and 15-50% of naphthenes by volume.
