Abstract

A method of emptying a flat-bottomed grain-tank comprises directing an air-blast, through slits in the bottom, towards a grain-outlet. The tank-base is double, the upper bottom carrying rows of slits arranged all over it, and the space between the upper and lower bottoms being connected to an air-inlet duct. An auger runs in a trough along the side of the tank towards which the airstream is directed, the auger either feeding to an angularly-adjustable delivery auger at one end of the tank, or to bagging outlets which can be closed by slides when not in use. In modifications, the slits are adjustable in orientation, so that the direction of the airstream is controllable at will.
