Abstract

794,298. Unloading storage chambers from below. INTERNATIONAL MILLING CO. April 19, 1956, No. 11958/56. Class 78 (4). A flexible sleeve 51 delivering material from the outlet spout 24 of a vehicle to a box 30 mounted below the roadstead and feeding a conveyer 48 can be folded down into the box 30. As illustrated, two sleeves 51, 52 connecting two outlet spouts 24 on a vehicle to the box 30 form part of a single fabric member 50a connected to the inner periphery of the upper portion 54 of the box 30. Wooden slides 64, 65 are mounted within the sleeves 51, 52 and the whole member 50a can be folded down to rest on a mesh 50 which prevents it from coming into contact with a screw conveyer 48. The fabric forming the member 50a is preferably airpermeable so that it allows the escape of air mixed with the material in the vehicle to facilitate flow of the material and the member 50a may have any required number of sleeves 51, 52. The box 30 may be mounted between track rails 31 as shown or in a roadway.
