[Also in Division A5] A hair treatment device, designed to be supplied with hot air from an electric hair dryer through a hose, comprises a combined brush and comb unit mounted in a housing of the device, the mounting being such that rotation of the unit selectively brings either brush or comb into an operative position. As illustrated in Fig. 1, the device comprises a sleeve-like casing member 1, adapted for connection to the hot air blower tube (not shown) of an electric hair dryer (not shown), and a brush and comb unit which is mounted at the ends 7 and 8 of its spindle member 4 so as to be rotatable. The unit, which normally is biased by spring 9 so that a surface at end 8 of the spindle member cooperates with internal end surface 10 of the casing member to prevent rotation, is released for rotation by axial displacement, for example by depression of knob 12 to oppose the action of the spring. The spindle member carries comb teeth 5 and brush bristles 6 on its opposed faces, as illustrated, and has hot air discharge openings, for example longitudinal slots, extending therethrough, as illustrated in Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown); rotation of the spindle member through 180 degrees selectively brings the brush or the comb into the operative position. Rotation through 90 degrees brings a flattened key portion of the spindle member into line with an open slot in the bearing mounting at end 8 of the spindle member and hence allows removal of the brush and comb unit from the housing.
