In a sheet-fed stencil printing machine incorporating feed and delivery belts 1, 2 and a printing station comprising a printing medium supply 3, scraper blade 14 and associated trough 7 located between the belts, stencilling on each sheet is effected by masking the desired areas with one or both of two endless stencil bands 8, 9, which move with the sheet through the station. The bands, which are spaced across the width of the belts 1, 2, and may be moved across the direction of travel of the sheets to effect any desired masking, have associated scraper and trough mechanisms 12, 13.
