Abstract

At least three webs of paper are maintained in tension by a set of take-off rollers, and perforated by rollers which punch holes along the web edges and also lines of perforations across and along the web. The webs then pass separately through fixed and moving printing plates before passing through adhesive applicator and collating stations. The moving plate for the middle web carries a hollow rectangular punch which forms a cut-out coinciding with each row of perforations across the web, then the web is advanced to a blower which detaches the cut pieces. These cut-outs in conjunction with longitudinal perforations enable the remaining portions to be easily removed when the continuous stationery is used.
