Abstract

1,062,372. Set-screws. G.K.N. SCREWS & FASTENERS Ltd. Feb. 4, 1966 [Feb. 13, 1965], No. 6310/65. Heading F2H. A set-screw has at its operative end, a cap member (6) of resilient resinous material, such as nylon. The cap is provided with a recess (8), (9) and is pushed on to the end (3), (5) of the screw, whereby it is retained while being rotatable relative to the screw. The diameter of the cap is less than the root diameter of the screw-thread (2). The screw may be used to clamp shafts, rods or electrical wires or conductors.
