Abstract

1,146,168. Stripping conductors. J. KING. 15 Jan., 1968 [21 Nov., 1966], No. 52095/66. Heading H2C. In the form shown, the cutter member 5 is detachably secured to the spindle B of a motor A, the casing of which carries a screw threaded barrel 1. A sleeve 2 carries a ball bearing collar 4 which engages inclined external faces 5b of the resilient cutter fingers so that the sleeve, normally stationary, can be adjusted to alter the finger spacing, and may be secured by a locking sleeve 3. In a modification the cutter member 5 is detachably secured to a spindle journalled within the barrel 1 having provision for attachment of a flexible drive shaft. In either form the cutter member can be replaced by another to deal with different wire sizes.
