Abstract

1,062,201. Cooker splash plates. RADIATION Ltd. Feb. 26, 1965 [March 13, 1964], No. 10763/64. Heading F4W. In order to facilitate removal of the top plate 2 of a domestic cooker 1, a splash plate 5 carrying an auxiliary working compartment 6 is releasably fastened to vertical channel members 7 and 8 by screws 13 passing through slots 12 in the said members. On releasing screws and nuts 11 securing side brackets of the splash plate to the top plate 2 and slackening screws 13, the splash plate is raised the length of the slots 12. The channel members 7 and 8 are secured to the cooker body by screws 10. The screw and slot connections of the splash plate can be replaced by making the members 7 and 8 themselves lengthwise extensible, i.e. telescopic, to permit the splash plate to be raised and lowered.
