Heading BIC, [Also in Division F1] A mixing and conveying pump, particularly for liquid manure, has a passage in the rotor housing which is connected to a conveying conduit by a cover readily detachable from the housing. A cover 11' connected to a conveying conduit 15' is shown in the position in which it covers a passage 10 in the pump housing 8, thereby causing the pump to discharge liquid from pit 1 into the conduit 15'. The cover and conveying conduit are slidably supported by guides 17, 18 on a protective tube 5 surrounding the pump shaft, so that by means of a handle 21 the cover 11' may be lifted clear of the top of the housing 8. In this position of the cover the liquid in the pit is mixed by the pump, and preferably for this purpose the direction of rotation of the pump shaft is reversed. The axis of the passage 10 is preferably inclined at 45 degrees with respect to the shaft axis. The whole unit is pivotable about an axis 3 on a wheeled carriage 7.
