Abstract
1,059,456. Filtering molten wax. ROSAEN FILTER CO. Aug. 17, 1965 [Nov. 2, 1964], No. 35123/65. Heading B1D. In a filter incorporating thermostatically controlled heater 80, liquid flows from inlet 16 to outlet 14, radially inwards through filter element 52, and clogging causes element 52 to be moved leftwards against spring 34 by increasing differential pressure, the movement being indicated by an external pointer (62), (Figs. 2, 3, not shown). Further movement carries member 42 over slots 56 in boss 46 to by-pass element 52. Heater 80 is mounted on removable end cap 18 of housing 10 and extends inside cylindrical element 52 or outside (Fig. 4, not shown). The filter is used to filter molten wax, and heater 80 may be used continuously or during shut-down. A sight window 70 is mounted in removable plug 66.
