Abstract

A method of surfacing a deck or other floor comprises providing it with a surfacing layer of epoxy resin, filler and hardener and a hydrocarbon oil having a specific gravity of at least 0.97 containing at least 75% of constituents boiling between 180 DEG and 400 DEG C. The oil may be a tar distillate or a petroleum fraction. Suitable fillers include barytes and sand: pigments may also be included. The composition may be applied by trowel.
