1,058,601. Transporting special loads. D. H. MORGAN (ENGINEERS) Ltd. Jan. 9, 1964 [Jan. 16, 1963; May 23, 1963], Nos. 1939/63 and 20722/63. Heading B7B. A trailer vehicle chassis has secured to it at each side by longitudinal pivots 9, two hinge frames 6, 7 having recesses 8 to accommodate rollers 26 of a detachable swan-neck 19, 20 provided with a jack 24 having ground-engaging wheels 25. The swan-neck 19, 20 is secured to the trailer chassis when in the towing position by pins in the aligned recesses in the members 28 and 29 and by safety catches 30. A transverse gate 10 engages the hinge frames 6, 7 on both sides of the trailer to maintain them in the vertical positions.
