Abstract

1,058,251. Concrete mixers. P. L. CULLIMORE and C. S. HARRIS. March 13, 1963 [Dec. 15, 1961], No. 45085/61. Heading B1C. A manually-operated -concrete mixer comprises a mixing drum 21 having a rolling surface 32 and means such as a ground wheel 30 or skid to support the rolling surface in contact with the ground with the axis of the drum inclined to the vertical. As shown, the axle of the drum and wheel passes through a sleeve 33 to which is attached a handle 34. The drum may be tipped so that its mouth 25 is in contact with the ground to discharge it, Fig. 2 (not shown). The wheel 30 may be removed and the free end of the axle rest in a socket in the ground for operations in a confined space. In larger size, the handle may be dispensed with and the mixer drawn by a tractor.
