Abstract

1,057,873. Fuel oil filters. CROSLAND FILTERS Ltd. Sept. 26, 1963 [June 26, 1962], No. 24496/62. Heading BID. In the fuel oil filter shown in Fig. 1, the liquid fuel is fed in at 51 and passes through bore 37 and tube 19 into chamber 56, flows radially outwardly through chamber 56 then radially inwardly through filter element 26 to the annular space between the filter element and tube 19, through holes 33 in upper end disc 17 (Fig. 3, not shown), through hole 53 into annular cavity 52 and out by 54. Unit 11 comprising casing 15 formed integrally with lower end-disc 16 is removable from and reconnectable to the support which comprises head 12, bottom cap 13 and bolt 14 connecting the head and bottom cap. The filter unit may be of folded sheet material.
