Abstract

1,057,793. Electrophotographic processes. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION. March 9, 1965 [March 20, 1964], No.9869/65. Heading G2H. In order to avoid edge effects, in the development of electrostatic images on photo-conductive layers, the layer is either stripped from its backing prior to development or a high potential of the same polarity as that of the charge image is applied to the conductive backing during development. Stripping may be assisted by applying an electrostatic charge to the backing to repel the charge image of the layer to be stripped.
