Abstract
Ferrous strip having a tightly adhering ductile zinc coating an enhanced corrosion resistance is produced by passing a clean ferrous strip through a zinc coating bath containing 0.04 to 0.35% Al, 0.01 to 0.1% Mg, and optionally up to 1.6% Pb, with impurities such as Cd and Fe preferably being less than 0.2%.
