Abstract
Adhesive articles which are self-supporting bodies of substantially uniform cross-section, and adhesive coating compositions comprise a mixture of an epoxy resin and a curing agent capable of curing the resin at a temperature above - 15 DEG C., at temperature not exceeding - 15 DEG C. The preferred curing agent is an aminopolyamide. Optional ingredients are inorganic fillers, asbestos or glass fibres and powdered polyethylene. The articles may be webs or rods.ALSO:Articles such as labels, tapes, panels or foils, or webs of paper, metal or synthetic plastics are coated with adhesive compositions comprising an epoxy resin and a curing agent which cures the resin at a temperature above - 15 DEG C, and the coated articles are cooled to a temperature not exceeding - 15 DEG C. for storage. The preferred curing agent is a polyaminoamide and the compositions may also contain fillers or fibres, e.g. chalk, titanium dioxide, glass fibres, polyethylene powder, quortz sand or mixture of two or more thereof.
