Abstract

Impact resistant graft polymers are made by polymerizing in aqueous phase in the presence of suspension stabilizers and radical forming catalysts a mixture of 5 to 30% of a chlorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer and 95 to 70% of vinyl chloride. The vinyl chloride may be used in admixture with an acrylic ester, such as ethyl, butyl, octyl and tridecyl acrylates, or polymers of such acrylates may be present in the reaction mixture in emulsion form. Catalysts specified are organic peroxides and azo compounds.
