Abstract
1,055,527. Electromagnetic relays. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. April 23, 1965, No. 17189/65. Heading H2B. A shock-proof relay comprises a rectilinearly movable armature 12 coupled to rectilinearly movable contact carriers 24 by levers 20, the arrangement being such that the armature 12 and contact carriers 24 are balanced. Two branched levers 20 are pivoted on pins 21 and are coupled to the armature by a pin 19 passing through a base plate 13 secured to the armature. Each of the levers 20 has a forked free end by which it is coupled to one of the two contact carriers 24. Back stops 22 co-operate with limb 20b of the levers. Balance weights 34 are provided between the branches of each lever 20 and rectilinearly movable weights 36, carried by side plates 5 (Fig. 7, not shown) are coupled to the contact carriers 24 by pins 23 carried thereby. The coil 10 and core 8 are inserted in windows 11 of side plates 5, the core being spaced from a cover 6 by soft material 9. The fixed contact supports 28 are removably secured to the outside of the plates 5 (Fig. 5, not shown). Plug in terminals 4 are provided in base 1.
