Abstract
1,046,222. Electromagnetic relay. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. July 19, 1963 [July 21, 1962], No. 28622/63. Heading H2B. An electromagnetic relay comprising a contact spring stack removably secured to a stud 8 provided on an arm 7 or the yoke 4 of an electro- . magnet assembly is provided with a removable cover (not shown) and is mounted in a socket or on a printed circuit board by a bolt 20 of the contact stack. The contact stack comprises two piles of springs held on either side of an insulating body 12 by insulating strips 50 which are glued into slots in the body. The coil terminals 10 are mounted in an insulating member 9 of the electromagnet which co-operates with the body 12 to form a continuous base of the assembled relay. The coil terminals are arranged at right-angles to the contact terminals and rotation of the mounted relay is prevented by a second projection of body 12. The relay may have two coils mounted on parallel cores joined by a yoke.
