Abstract
1,055,459. Bottle washing machines; conveyers. BRITISH MILLER HYDRO CO. Ltd. Aug. 27, 1965 [Sept. 3, 1964], No. 36141/64. Headings B8A and B8T. In a bottle-washing machine in which inverted bottles in holders 14 on a continuously driven conveyer are internally and externally sprayed, the bottles are loaded into the holders by laterally spaced endless belts 2 which supply lines of bottles to laterally spaced peripherally recessed continuously driven loader wheels 11 which pick up the bottles from the belts, invert them and drop them neck downwards into the holders. The bottles are aligned with the loader wheels by arms 5 downwardly projecting from a transverse shaft 6 rocked by an arm 8 engaging a cam 10, and are guided by plates 4 into recesses 12, 13 of the wheels.
